I uploaded some pics last night to my gallery here and I'm curious if anyone has the exact same truck. I didnt find one in the gallery. The reason I ask is that I've been to a couple of different dealers around here and none of them have seen one just like mine which I think is odd considering how many are built.

Well, my truck is nothing like yours, but when I first started looking, that's pretty much exactly what I wanted. There's just something cool about that all black look.

 

When I was ready to buy, I went to Ford.com and used the Build my Truck feature, set everything exactly like I wanted it then clicked the Find My Truck button, BAM, 40 miles away...bought it the next morning.

how cool is that?

Pretty cool. I basically looked at a few, drove a few, decided to go ahead and get a Lariat, went to the dealer of my choice, and said: "here's what I want, find it". They had it within a couple of hours.

 

Got a black FX4, pretty close.

 

i hardly ever see any stx here in san diego.

 

A black STX is what made me want the new 04 F150. The black one was in the showroom so they gave me a Red one to test drive over the weekend. The red grew on me and I bought it Monday morning.

I have that exact same truck, except no fog lights. So if you want to trade front bumpers..... well i wont wait for the email.

I'm almost the exact same.

 

MD- love the battle flag on the dash. What part of texas you over in? Nice truck both you and 76ford. Love the black, but the red grew on me and is easier to keep clean.

 

MDC85, thanks for posting your pic! I was bouncing back and forth between black or chrome step rails...but wanted to see the chrome installed on one first.

The chrome looks great but I think I'm going to stay all black.

As far as the step bars....originally there were ford factory blackish ones on there(the flat ones). I wanted something round and chrome, so the dealer threw some westin's on as a trade off.

I love the look, but I would think black step bars would looks just as nice....just not a fan of the smooth ones is all.....plus It matches the exhaust!

 

What kind of exhaust did you put in there? Looks great!

I have the exact same truck only mine came with black runing boards. I only have 1900 miles on it. Will post pictures later. Live in the lower Rio Grande Valley (Mercedes Texas).

 

One Flowmaster 40 Series muffler with dual 3.5" outs...nothin fancy.

Paid 250 for it the very day I got the truck(talked the installer out of tax too )
