fmx to 429

I have an fmx tranny and was wondering if I could get away with bolting a big block bellhousing to it and useing the small block torque converter, btw the big block housing is for a standerd 351m the fmx was on a 302.If I can will the tranny be strong enough.

Richard the FMX is older technology, if you will be using it as a daily driver you should be ok. I think most would agree that you would be better off with a C6 behind the 429. I ran a FMX behind a 390 and it worked well.
