Got a great deal on a camper van last weekend. (well I hope.....) When I put it in drive it wont shift out of 1st... so I manually shift to second everything seems tight...shift to drive (3rd) and sometimes it shifts and sometimes not....Is this tranny shot or can it be serviced ? I don't really want to blow $60 bucks on a service if it is shot out... Thanks for your views and advice...

 

check vacuum line to moddulator valve at the rear of the trans
valve may be bad
cheap to replace
get one that is adj.
