Sometimes I have to wonder about people

I went to my National Guard drill this morning in my new F-150 FX4 for the first time. One of the guys in my unit happens to sell Chevy's for a living. He saw my truck, and said, "does your truck have the 5.4L?" So I told him it does. Then he said, "I hope you know your truck only has 260HP." So I told him that was BS and that this engine puts out 300HP. Then he went on about how if my truck doesn't have the 5.4L high output engine then it doesn't have 300HP.

Either I am stupid and totally missed the 5.4L High Output option, or that guy needs to stick to chevy trucks because he obviously has no knowledge of Fords.

Never argue with a chevy salesman about a ford.

Ask him about Chevy Piston Slap. That should shut him up. I have a buddy at work with a new chevy and the thing sounds like a diesel. He is so ****ed!

Haha, yeah I don't argue with people like him. If they want to live in a fantasy world that's their business. I have more important ways to spend my time.

By the way, before PT formation, a different soldier was looking at my truck, and wanted to sit in the drivers seat. He was very impressed and didn't want to get back out lol.

I just got my brand new 2004 FX4...it's loaded. Bright yellow and every option. MSRP was $39000, but X-plan price was almost $6000 less after the extra $1000 rebate.

I hate the jealous ones who make the comment, "how can you afford that, when I was an E-5 I couldn't." Probably because my wife enjoys being part of the work force, I don't have 3 kids and my credit isn't jacked up a-hole.

Sounds like that guy was at the dealership and you came in with your truck. He probably uses that line all the time just too make a sale. If he said that to me I would be leaving.

Well, the engine puts out 300 horse power. Thats a fact. But by the time the power gets to the rear wheels, it probably is 260HP. Maybe less.

Right, but it's like that with any vehicle. So Chevy and Dodge's numbers would be lower also at the wheels.
