rear window trim

The trim piece around my back window has faded to gray. I'm wanting to paint it either black or body color. My question is will I have to replace the seal or is it reusable?

Since the truck is old enough for the peice to fade it wouldnt hurt to replace the seal on your back window.. I painted this same peice and simply asked a friend at ford dealership for some seal and he gave it to me. Im sure if you dont know anyone there your local window replacement company could get you some fairly cheap. Everything else i re-used and have no problems at all. It is a simple job other than the painting that you can do yourself.
