Painted rims??

I have the stock ranger rims. There are kinda two different surfaces. The main surface, and the rougher area in the grooves. The finish is coming off and i was wanting to paint them. I like the black look.

Anyways just wondering what all is involved in painting rims (procedures and products i should use). Here is a pic of my rims.

I would look into getting them powdercoated. Its more expensive but will last alot longer.

If the paint is just temporary until you get new rims, I would just leave the rims the way they are. In the picture they look great. Good from far, but far from good!
