Question 56 bus w/ 429?

I have a '56 Ford bus that was converted to a camper. It has a transplanted engine in it. A friend claims that it is a 429. Looking for any help. Engine tag reads: RM-2 62370. Has cross over exhaust on the front of the engine and distributer in the back.
