I have a 97 explorer 5.0, v-8, and I've started to get a check engine light. I checked it with my OBD tool and got a P0402 code, which seems to be a code for too much EGR flow. The thing is it only gives me this code below a 1/4 tank of gas & it resets itself when I fill the tank. Anyone ever come across this? And if so how did you resolve it?

if the problem goes away after you add gas, then i wonder if the seal on your gas cap is shot. There is a sticky thread at the very top of the list regarding these DTC's
