Microtuner settings

I just uploaded the 80 horse off-road setting with my microtuner into my 2001 F250 psd, auto. The first thing I noticed was the truck didn't move off the line as quick as had expected but once it got to moving the truck was a rocket. Later in the day I uploaded the 60 horse CARB setting and man this truck was a totally different truck taking off. I thought I had made a mistake and loaded the off road again, but I had done it correctly. My question is this, Do you think that Superchips may have programed my microtuner in the reverse order or is it the 2 different programs seem to come in at different stages in the RPM range. I like the way it runs better with the 60 horse setting but I dont want to burn up the truck if I had to tow anything heavy. I do have a 4 inch cat back type exhaust installed but not the down pipe.

Thanks Randy

No, its not backwards. Far too many of them have been sold to let a problem like that go unnoticed by Superchips engineering for months. It just has to do with how the tuning was done for your particular ECU code and how it effects the spool up of the turbo. The 60HP program for our truck will have less peak hp/torque than than 80HP but that doesn't mean whoever coded it at Superchips didn't make it spool a little quicker (probably to keep down the amount of black smoke).
