I have emailed K & N and the new air filter is still not out. Has anyone tried these Green filters, which I understand maybe be produced by K & N? If so, then what do you think about them? I'm willing to try them out with good feedback.

Two things all my V8 trucks have had in the past are a K & N filter and a Flowmaster exhaust. Just waiting on the filter now.

 

That says only "upto 13 HP".

I heard the blue ones add 20 HP and theres a red one coming out to add 30 HP.

The only thing good about a K&N filter is the fact that it's cleanable so you don't have to replace it.

 

Wowwie...30 HP by just changing colors. Modern technology never ceases to amaze me.

All kidding aside, I have never really noticed and performance changes (ie extra punch), but have noticed better MPG with these type of filters. And yes, I like the fact that I can just clean it a re-oil it and I'm good to go.

I must say that my hat is off to Ford for the easy to remove new design and location of the filters on these new 5.4's.

 

Agreed! Kind of reminds me of changing a tape in a VCR.
