how to take off fuel filter?

I just changed my fuel filter last night...it's a pain in the ***!! I think the trick to it is is to shoot some penetrating fluid up into the line so it will loosen up the spring inside the line. I sprayed PB Blaster in mine and worked it for about 10min. and it came off. My rear line came off real easy, the front one was a royal pain. Just keep working the line back and forth onto and off the fuel filter...it will come off eventually.

Thanks Luke_trash!! The ones you say works easily were exactly the ones I was eyeballing at lunch, as they appeared to also be used on my AC line fittings too, but wanted to find out more about them before spending anymore $$ than I already have. I would've emailed this message, but I'm not authorized to do so yet, having just joined today.

After I got the tool set that Luke_Trash suggested the filter came off easily...... of course once I used the right size!!! I was trying the 5/16 and fought it for about 10 minutes then the lightbulb came on and grabbed the 3/8 tool and the connections released without much effort! Always have the right tools for the job!!! It sure makes being a shadetree mechanic a more pleasant experience! Thanks guys.
