Fords Band-Aid fix

Fords Band-Aid fix
It looks like if you have not had any problems, chances are good you will. Ford is having problems with the throttle bodies. Ford wanted me to drive my truck in "limp mode"until they came out with a new computer flash. I refused to do that. Next thing I know they are ordering a new throttle body. I was little confused, I thought this was computer problem. WRONG. The way it was explained to me was that the throttle body has a sensor that is defective & the new flash will "make things work around the sensor". I asked, "does the new throttle body have a good sensor, or will I be back in another 4,000 miles with a crappy running truck". Reply was"dunno, that may be why they want to wait for the flash to come out".

thanks for the Info...I was told that when youre truck fails over to the limp-home mode ...you can disconnect battery and re-connect and the PCM will Reset ,,,I have not had to try this yet since I brought it home from the shop the third time ...but if it happens again ..I will post my results ...Thanks Again...I am just glad I havent noticed any of the Vibration issues..this truck is the most comfortable ride Ive owned

i guess everything is censor related, My 2004 fx-4 got stuck in 4x4 low and thier telling me its a censor. So far I have had to bring it back for door adjustments, a leaking brake resovoir and a censor for my 4x4 switch in 3000 miles. I like my truck but i am getting a little nervous. I traded in a tundra with 80000 MILES ON It and never had problem
