Question 96 seats interchange

Will seats from a 97 f-150 fit into a 96 f-150? What years will interchange? I have a bench seat and I want to put bucket seats in. Anyone want to trade, I have a 96 f-150 with a gray bench seat, pretty good condition.

But they changed the body-style in '97, so I'm assuming the changed the floorpan and the attachment points at the same time.

FWIW, I could use the bench-seat from your '96 in my '97, if it's gray cloth in decent shape and it folds forward ('97 F-250HD used the same body as the earlier ones, so that one WOULD interchange). Where in NY are you? I'll be passing through next Monday to pick up an engine from NJ.

Sorry but its gray vinyl, plus since i drive the truck to work everyday I can't get rid of my seat til I get a new one. Thanks for that info about the f-250, I forgot about that. By the way, I live in long island. It's really amazing the money they want for good seats and how hard it is to find used ones for my 96. I'm in the military, Coast Guard, and can only afford so much so I'm limited to finding something used for the most part. I've got one more question, will newer explorer seats fit into a 96 f-150 and will any other ford seats fit into my truck?(bronco, explorer, excursion, escape, etc)

My son also has a 97 F-250 4x4 Powerstroke HD with the 92-96 body style.

He put a grey cloth seat from a 95 in it. I have the original grey vinyl seat setting in the corner of my garage.

I said no to the question because he was asking about swapping F-150 to a F-150.

hell anything will fit with a little ingenuity....i've seen seats from a dodge in a ford and vice versa....if you can redo the brackets then you can make any seat work for ya. it all depends on what your capable of and how much work you wanna do. goodluck

My personal best is a set of 89 Ford Tempo Buckets into a 80 F-250. Also 77 Lincoln Leather Full Power seats into an 84 F-250

I would look into swapping the seat tracks. I installed some 80 something GT seats in my 78 bronco and the seat tracks swapped from one to the other. There was one whole for the seat track on the GT seats that was not tapped so I tapped it and I had all 4 bolts holding the 78 seat ttracks on 80 something GT seats.
