starter trouble - help
i just purchased a 89 f-150 that had been modified as a big foot. we have spent some money re modifing it back to street legal status. everything was working fine when we picked it up. we drove 50 miles back to town...made some stops and it started up well....get it home and now the starter is clicking and wont turn over....is there a place to find a wiring map for the starter or any other suggestions would be helpful.

You might try jumping across the solenoid, if truck starts it could be the starter... I also had this problem and it turned out to be the battery was not producing enough amps to crank. I did not think it was the problem, because I had good lights and everything else.
