I just traded my 1992 f250 diesel for a 1998 f150 with a 4.6 liter. Are these good engines? This morning I noticed the coolant was low. I added 4 quarts. Is this cause for an alarm? The truck only has 42000 kms. There was no white foam on the dipstick, cap or pvc.

Are these motors known to have problems?

 

if you start reading post in here you will worry yourself too death.
i have two of them. i love them soo fare myself. brother has a 4.6 in a excurtion with well over 100,000 miles and runs just fine
