How loud is your Cat.?
When my truck get hot the cat crackels and pops thike crazy. You can hear it from inside when you are standing still. Is yours like that?

Yup- seems it's the entire exhaust system though. Every truck I've owned back to my '93 F150 has popped/cracked when hot.

I've wondered that myself... 2001 F250 V10, and when I shut it down it crackles for several minutes.

Mine did the same thing the first 5000 or 6000 miles and then stopped. I think once every thing gets settled it may go away.

My 2001 5.4 SD has 8,000 miles, has crackled since the day i got it. I always wondered if it was normal....

Come to think of it, my HOUSE cat crackles a bit too. I guess I should take it out of the microwave.
