Anyone have any luck getting the door lock out on the passenger side door. Looks like an immpossible feet to get that larger size bolt set screw with that tiny allen bolt. If that is the correct way to remove. Any suggestion thanks Ed ke6bnl

You have to loosen that screw. I've seen some that were allen head and some were a reg slotted screw. I'd spray it with a penetrating oil and let it sit a day. Without removing it, you can't get the lock out. They do make allen wrenches that are longer, so you can get some leverage. I've even hooked a small box end wrench over it to increase leverage.

Thanks for the response, it has been sitting in various penetrating oils, I have a large selection of allen wrenches, may use some heat first, the maybe a drill and easy out or slot it for a screw drive with a small die grinder and need to repair the sheet metal. replace with a ????????? hex, slot, allen Stainless Steel with large amount of thread eeeze. Some thought I have and will tackle it soon got every other screww out in the door with pent. oil Ed ke6bnl

I'm surprised you're having trouble getting it out. I've had some stubborn ones, but none that wouldn't come out. It's tough if someone before you has messed up the head.

I just found out the hard way on an old door that the allen screw is maybe a 6/32 in a larger 1/4 housing I will let it soak a few more days and try again. The allen is a 3/32 small one. Hope to try again another day but found time to install a new rear window and rubber. Would like to go with electric lock or electric door openers but that will take some rel thinking ed ke6bnl
