gear drives for a 460
#3
In my opinion I dont think a gear drive is really worth it for a street/strip engine. The cost of it over a good chain/gear assembly is not worth it for the near nothing you gain in HP.....if you gain any at all. If you want to buy it just for the sound, then go for it! Your rocker arms have so much slop and most pushrods have enough deflection that nailing down the timing from crank/cam interface is not noticed alone. Goto a shaft style rocker system like a jessel with very good rockers and then get a belt drive and your getting somewhere! If it were me, I would get a good quality adjustable timing gear set and go pound the pavement!
