Satelite radio . . . how?

Just looked at a GMC Z-71 . . . very nice. I really liked the satelite radio.

How would I get it in an F-150?

You can get them at Best Buy or nearly any major retailer.

Very simple.

There are several designs in the antenna. The actual signal from the sat is resent to your truck radio on an unused FM channel. The installation of the antenna is probably the hardest part of the install.

What is neat about the newer designs is that you can take it indoors or just about anywhere you go. It is totally portable!

Cool!!

I went by Rex today. They were out but hope to have some in tomorrow. I was wanting one for a truck, if I bought one. After looking into it some more I think I'm going to get one for my Expy. If I buy a truck I'll set it up so I can just take it from one to the other.

Further, by buying one already installed like the Chevy/GMC you lose the portability factor and have to pay for another subscription if you add another radio to your household.

mean bone, you lose portability but the factory installed satellite radios are better integrated into the dash . (IMO).

03f150man, I agree it's a neater package. For me I think the trade off will be worth it, tho.

Power Source for XM Hookup?????

ScottFcasni.....

Please advise what power source you used to install your XM Roady satellite radio.

Please be specific as to which "hot" wire you tied into and what "ground" black wire you tied into.

As always.....one of your great photos would be VERY much appreciated.

MANY THANKS for your assistance.....
