can i add a set of inputs on a stock 2000 ford explorer am fm, cd, tape player radio, an adapter or something so i can plug my satelite reciever directly into the radio ( new inputs)

Yes, no and maybe. How's that for an answer. There are companies making adapters to add a input that works through the the radios, but there expensive and radio dependent. The easiest and simpliest is use a fm modulator. It put a signal on the antenna at a given frequency. You tune radio to that frequency and presto, you have sound.

I have my XM wired that way. Only drawback is the mod. I am using requires that the source be turned off to use other stations. There are some out there that don't. I used one on my expy. to wire in a dvd.
