Tailgate seal

This question is for Super Duty owners who occasionally drive on unpaved roads and have a camper shell on the cargo bed: Has anyone found a way to seal the gap around the tailgate in order to keep some of the road dust out?

I've already thought of just buying an Excursion...

Cabela sells a tailgate gap cover and tailgate seal tape in their automotive catalog. In the past I have used weather strip tape for the sides and two strips of duct tape for gap between the bed floor and the tailgate. It's a real bummer to open your camper shell after driving 20 miles of dirt road to see a ton of dust all over your gear.

I bought one of those fiberglass hinged tops for my 02 F250. I guess there is a negative pressure area in the bed that would draw dust and dirt up into the bed through the openings around the tailgate. I bought a product called "TrailSeal Tailgate Gasket". I think it was about $27.00 for a 10' roll. I got it off the internet, don't remember what web site. Ten feet was plenty to do a F250 tailgate and 18" left over. Check the FTE online store first if they don't have it then run a search. I don't remember where I bought it but it solved the problem, no more dust up into the bed. No that I think of it I am going to order another 10' to seal up the bottoms of my cab doors, same problem.

Rhino Skin has a very nice seal that goes along the bottom of the tail gate, and up both sides. I had that applied when I had my spray in bed liner put in. Load Hog industries also has a liner tongue. http://www.loadhog.com/ The Rhino Liner weather stripping is awesome! I love it! No more rain in the bed (I have a hard tonneau.) etc.
