spotlight question

how would go about installing some spotlights like unitys or appletons on a 60 f-100

do i need special brackets?

is there even enough room?

can i buy these lights as reproductions somewhere so i can get 2 brand new ones that match

anyway any input will be appreciated

The original's were installed through the cowl. No pepop's as of yet. Unity still makes the actual spotlight or at least parts(one of the two). Since your going the custom way, might try getting some out of a hot rod and kustom mag. I'm sure somebody would drill you some through the windshield. I know this isn't much help. Mooneye's might have a kit. -4speed

I just bought an install kit

I recently bought a spotlight installation kit on Ebay to go with the spotlight I scavenged from another parts truck. If you have a spotlight and need to know where exactly to mount it - I can help.

search this forum: as I've written before, Unity still makes the original style spots, even with Ford script, and very likely still has the mounting parts.

I just ordered 2 spotlights with Ford script and mounting brackets from Mac's Antique Auto Parts. Go to macsautoparts.com and order a catalog.

I wanted dual spotlights on my '53 F-100 and ordered and received two of the the nifty Ford script units which I think included the exterior & interior mounting brackets. When I held them up and started measuring I panicked. The inside spotlight handle came awfully close to the steering wheel. I thought and thought and studied and studied and just couldn't bring myself to drill two giant holes in my newly painted pickup. I chickened out and returned them.
