What is the largest size tire I can fit on a 1990 F150 4X2 without it rubbing, even if I have to buy larger rims for it? And if I did a lift, what size would work etc?
Yes, you may be able to "fit" them, but dont expect much in the way of articulation. What size do you want to run? If 35, I would suggest 6", and if 33, 4".
What is a good site to order lift kits and what am I looking for? What i better, Suspension lift or Body Lift? Should I use the two together? Etc.......
If at all possible, stay away from body lifts. What are youre plans for this truck? That will help determine what level of kit you need (whether you can use rear blocks safely, or have to go with a new leaf pack). I believe I got a deal on tires and rims at http://www.fourwheelparts.com/ . They are a natl. retailer, so you will probably get very competitive pricing from them.
Well, It is only 2WD, The kit will be mainly for looks but I want to be able to use it for going offroad, putting crap in the bed and mostly I am hoping the larger tires will help in snow during winter since it is a 2WD........
Larger is not better for snow. The taller and skinnier the tire, the better. When you move to 33"s and the like, the tread is quite wide, actually hindering on road-snow performance. Is there a certain size you had in mind for tires?
Well, Price will be a part of it.....What type of setup would you recommend over all for gas mileage, power requirements etc......Tire Size, Lift etc.....
