Got my 53 F100!

Picked up via trailer my new-to-me 1953 F100 with Mercury 302 V8 and 3 on the tree. The PO had rigged it up so that the starter ran on 12 volts and then the rest of the truck ran off the alternator at 6 volts. The truck has a cracked right exhaust manifold and need a complete exhaust system - had glass packs coming off the manifolds. Scared the s*** out of the neighbors when I cranked it up, which of course I could not resist doing quite a few times. Doing an inventory on the truck to decide on the sequence of actions and required parts. Bought a 53 truck shop manual and waiting for it to arrive.

The owner did give me the original Silvertone radio which he said works well and is worth a bunch of money. So I am taking offers on that for cash or trade.

I will need (for starters)

running boards both sides
the hinge parts that bolt to the bed sides and that the tailgate pins go into.
good right (passenger side) exhaust manifold
wheel cylinder kits
master cylinder kit
wiring harness (complete) cloth or modern?
hubcaps
rubber gasket that goes between the carb and the air cleaner

Suggestions?

Wow Scott, you better start checking the classified section and posting want adds. This is always the fun part of the project looking for all the right parts. Good luck, John
