Duramax vs Powerstroke in the 1/4 mile
My Duramax runs 12.8@104 on #2 and 12.4@109 on nitrous with a stock motor, stock turbo, stock injectors, stock fuel system, just programming, tranny, intake & exhaust mods. There is another Duramax with similar mods as mine with injectors running 12.0@119 on nitrous.
What is the fastest Powerstroke, 7.3 or 6.0?

um, I'm not always the brightest bulb on the xmas tree, but I thought you could only run propane, and not nitrous in a diesel motor?

i think this is a chevy guy trying to get are ford guys rialed up by saying his durmax runs on nitros and 12's in the quarter

You guys don't know much about diesel performance. Propane or nitrous can be used in a diesel or they can be used together.

Yes Mtomac. All three diesels can push trucks into the 12's. There are many dodges, Fords and chevy's out there in the 12's. You are not doing this on regular tires I see by your 60ft times. What was your purpose in posting this?

Ratsmoker, my "racing tires" are a set of 285 BFG All Terrains. Isn't the title of this forum Ford vs the Competition? I'm the competition and I'm just curious what times the Ford Diesels are running in the 1/4.

In another 5-6 months, the new Duramax will surpass the 6.0 in both horsepower and torque.. Hope the reliability stays up there as it is now. Hope Fords reliability comes back when they finally get the 6.0 straightened out.
Its all good for the industry, the horsepower wars that is. we all win.
And Im guessing if the title of the thread had been powerstroke vrs duramax, then it wouldnt have been an issue.
