Correct oil/lube for a 4speed manual tranny?

30 or 50w motor oil works great! 80-90 will grind up your trany if it get real cold were you live. My 65 will not shift worth a darn at 20deg F with the 80-90 so i used the 50 and no problems. My old bronco's glove box lid had a tag from Ford saying if trouble shifting in winter use 30w.
Yes the newer thicker stuff will work but why waste the hp to turn that thick stuff.
