Winter Diesel

Temps are now going into the mid 20s at night and I was wondering if any station in the twin cities has switched to winter diesel yet? I am still running some #2 with stanadyne so I should be good to a little colder but want to be safe. Anyone?

the Arctic Diesel refined by flint hills resources (distributed at kwik trip, some holidays, etc.) is available november - april. it's doubtful anyone is selling winterized #2 in the cities yet. but i wouldn't get too worried about your fuel gelling yet...

Well I looked them up and went to a station to get it. It didnt say arctic diesel though, it said Polar + . Meets premium diesel specs, 45 cetane, -40 stable. Did I get something different?

The suppliers have been thru Minesota winters before.

The blending has been in the system for over a month now.

I never have probs starting my 6.9 up here in Duluth.
