Smile in search of better fuel milage

I'm thinking of swapping out my 460/C-6 and installing a 300/C-6 in hopes of lowering my fuel costs. I'll have to find a donor truck.
In the end, I'm thinking of installing a Throttle body FI on the Six, and looking for 18 Mpg or more in a crusing situation.
What do you guys think. Is it doable? Will it work?

Well what year is the truck , It is very doable after you swap trannys mounts. Plus my 85 carbed 300 gets around 14 in town and about 17 or 18 on the highway.

At one time I had all the stuff I needed. However the 81 and up trucks dont have the same Perches.
I have a 77 F-150, and I had a 68 F-100 with a 300 six, and an 82 with a 302/C-6 also. I just didn't have time to make the switch and couldn't talk my wife into letting me keep those two old trucks in my yard. Yes, I'm Whipped~
