Dash Mat or not,,, Any opinions?

2013 5.0 SCrew Tuxedo Black. Looks like new. I've been thinking about getting a dash mat for it, but my girlfriend thinks they make a vehicle look cheesy. I'd like to cut down the glare and the chemical bleed.
Any suggestions, ideas or opinions.
Happy wife happy life. ..

I wouldn't not have one besides cutting glare and protecting dash I think it softens the interior.

When anyone mentions a dash mat I can't help but think of the olde Cheech & Chong days with thick **** carpeting on the dash, dingleberries hanging from the roof liner edges, fuzzy dice, etc.

Honestly, I've never been inclined to try one. I think they make a vehicle interior look cheesy.

How good looking is this girlfriend .
I wouldn't mind having a nice looking dash mat/pad just to knock down the glare.

I like the way that looks . It even leaves open that tray of a thing that I've never used.

"That tray of a thing" - I'm fairly sure I saw officially call it that when I was flipping through my owner's manual....

More to the point, though...I personally have never been crazy about how Dash Mats looked, and tbh I somehow had thought they stopped making them altogether during Clinton's first term. I'd probably only consider it if I had a badly cracked/sun damaged dashboard to cover up, but even then my vehicle likely would be old and worn enough that the dash would be the least of my worries.

All that said, though, nobody's opinion here matters like your own. If YOU like how it looks and how it benefits you, that's end of story right there. I'll back you up either way, bro

I personally probably would never buy one, but this ^ is how I feel about it.

And your exactly right, it's what you want. It's your rig .
Myself, they really never done much for me. But now, after finally driving a nice vehicle, that cost way more than a month's wages, and the dash isn't badly cracked before I got the thing, I like the way that looks there. And my dash, is terrible for glare between the sun coming in, and my shiny forhead.

The tray is used to accommodate a center speaker on the higher end stereo Ford offers if I'm not mistaken. No love for the dash covers around here I guess, I still like it fits like a glove and looks like a factory cover if they made factory covers regardless it's on the inside and no one will see it but you so even if you wanted it just to take away the windshield reflection I'd get one

I like the way it looks, it would knock down the glare problem that I have in my truck.

I think it looks awesome and it's something that I'd consider. How is it attached?
