So you're not so 'confident' about this new power upgrade now

The upgrade from 390/735 to 400/800 basically did not change the performance of the truck in real life. Here's Car & Driver's review of pre-flash and post-flash: 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty King Ranch Crew Cab 4x4 Diesel ? Instrumented Test ? Car and Driver

I think a flash today moving the truck from 925 to 1000lb-ft or from 440HP to 450HP would produce, once again, negligible results in real life. Perfectly content at the current power levels.

I'd rather have 1 more MPG than an extra 60 HP and 75 ft-lbs of torque. If I could get both, though, I'd be ecstatic!

You can, it involves a sawzall and a straight piece of exhaust pipe

I forgot to add in the little part about not voiding my warranty.

Guy's after driving it again on the same roads I travel everyday to compare I've put about 40 miles on it between all the job sites and back an forth to lowes etc..

Honestly the truck feels stronger an shifts better etc. Maybe the early trucks programs that rolled out wasn't as "refined" as the newest calibrations.

That could be part of it along with the trans relearning.

I checked a little higher up the line on this. There is no power increase flash and as of now, Ford's stance is there will be no power increase until the next refresh including a 10 speed trans. Likely in 2020.

nice it'll be trade in time and I can get an updated gas engine and 10 speed. I want 15mpg, 400hp and 500tq. Lol

Well that's what they have to tell ya anyway.. Until someone posts a dyno before and after the update will tell the tell..

Could be a "soft" update to keep it on the down low.. Just sayin' I put 5700 miles on it and now with this new program it feels stronger and more refined on the rout I take everyday.

Glad I had the update done...

you still believe that??? Maybe your truck got a top secret factory test tune, maybe Will Farrell took the restrictor plate off......
