Caliper Question

I know 16" wheels will not fit on my 06 but I have a set of rims and tires I would like to use, can I change the calipers for older years that will fit or can I use a spacer to gain enough clearance.

Larger rotors on the 05'up truck and different caliper mounting hole location. Its a no go for the smaller calipers. I was sent a right rear caliper for an 05'up truck for my 04' and it wouldn't mount.

Wheel spacer just pushes the wheel out further, they don't make the inside diameter of the wheel larger. Smallest wheel the 05'up trucks came with from factory is 17" wheels.

Also using spacers on the front wheels changes the scrub radius and that can't be readjusted with an alignment and causes a whole other can of worms.

If you have a wheel already you can mount it and see where it hits. Doesn't hurt to see. There are aftermarket calibers available but they are usually larger for increased braking power.
