AAA is not a single organization but some kind of group of affiliated auto clubs. Some offer RV coverage, and some do not. I can't get it here in upstate NY. I've seen posts where someone had bought coverage from, say TX AAA and when they had a problem in MA were told that MA AAA didn't cover that and they wouldn't help them
I've resolved to stick with one of the nationwide RV tow services, which would be either Good Sam or Coachnet.

Just to add a bit here without any dog in the fight. The RV services are not always fast and some folks have waited up to 8 hours for a tow. They may not get to you at all at night as you can discover by searching the Internet. Had one customer told they would have to stay in the Advance Auto parking lot for the night. And, they do not automatically tow your camper. I found out even when requesting it and offering to pay extra when broken down in a campground, they would tow the truck, would not touch our fifth wheel (yes, true story, I don't care what the contract reads).
I was stuck that time riding home with the tow truck driver to the dealership for the truck then having my wife come get me and borrowing the neighbors SD, driving back, and bringing my fifth wheel home myself.
Just saying things can sound better or simpler than they sometimes are. I still have Good Sam and not sure anyone is better. Just be aware.

That's the benefit of breaking down with an RV, you can go inside and take a nap or use the john while you wait for them.

Had the whole family eat diner while waiting for a tow and felt the traffic whiz by just ~3 - 4 feet away. If the DW needs to use the facilities bad enough, closeness to the highway will no longer have meaning
Lesson learned from that experience is that I need to get a flasher relay to actuate the lights just in case I end up in a scenario where the truck already got towed and the trailer had yet to get its tow.

As full-time RVers, we are Good Sams members and use it for the discounts offered at those parks that participate. We do not have their roadside assistance or any other Good Sams' services. Most participating parks only offer a 5% GS discount, so we find membership to be pretty much a wash as far as cost is concerned. When a Passport America park is convenient, the discount is MUCH better (often 50%). We also belong to the Escapees RV Club and utilize their network of parks from the southeast to the west coast. Finally, as retired military, we take advantage of military FamCamps whenever possible.
