I cant find my block heater

I know the question makes me sound like an idiot, but seriously I cant find the plug for the stinking thing. I'm not new to diesel, but this is my first Ford Diesel. I bought it on Friday. and it gets routinely cold here. The stubborn thing is still not a fan of starting, or staying running when it is cold (well below freezing). was going to plug it in tonight. and I can't find the plug. I've looked around both headlights, both batteries. above and below the grill and bumper. I'm likely going to be climbing under it tomorrow to try to follow it from the source, but just hoping maybe someone has an idea.... I can't find the stupid thing. A couple times I've had to use Ether to kick it over enough to get the fuel moving... I really hate doing that...

I do have a large garage, that I insisted gets propane radiant heat when we replace the furnace that went out. but right now there's a dodge in there getting a new transmission. and that's also where my Kia parks, so the garage is a little full at the moment.

it's a 1996 F-350 dually. 7.3 going to do new fluids and filters this week, just waiting for payday.

anyone have any suggestions? places it might be, that I haven't thought of?

thanks in advance!

It's possible it simply doesn't have one. Not all trucks get them. They're standard in a variety of northern states, and any dealer or customer can special order a truck with one, but certainly there were thousands of 7.3s sold without them.

I sure hope that's not the case. would be odd if it is. the people I bought it from are ranchers, and we are in Idaho. they've had it since it was new. of course they are out of state so I can't just ask them. if it doesn't have one. I know what one of the first investments would be...

look above the oil filter and see if there is a cord going to it, then trace it back

You may need to crawl under the truck and check above the oil filter housing for the connector. Mine just had the plug installed as it did not come with the cold weather package. Bought one a few years back off of Riffraff and the cord from amazon.
