'92 swing clutch pedal in '56 F 100?

I am putting a 300 6 and M5R2 5 speed in a 56 F 100. I have 2 parts trucks- a 85 f150 (using Engine) and a '92 F150 ( using transmission). I have removed the swing pedal assemblies from both parts trucks. The 92 brake/clutch assembly looks pretty compact and might work on the firewall of the 56. Has any of you done this? I will post some pics soon of what I have. Thanks Greg

I am in the process of doing this now. The brake assembly bolts to dash and firewall. I made a plate to weld to the firewall. I think i will need brackets off the dash and maybe heat and bend brake pedal for comfort.

Nice heres some pics of what I have. I just temporarily put a bolt thru a existing hole. Have no idea if this is close or not. My seat is out of the truck. I will put it back in and see how it fits.

Thanks Craig, I like how you did this. I am going to send you a PM. Did you also use the gas pedal assembly from the ranger?

It worked out great for me. I hove pics but they are buried on my computer and in my build thread below. I will try to post some pics or you can look at the build thread- though it has gotten pretty large. Anyway I used whole assembly out of the 92 F150, except for the bigger booster that is in the pic earlier on this thread. I used the booster from a 93 or so Ford Ranger- It is smaller as they collided with the support rod that goes from the firewall to the rad support. I ended up bending the rod some even after using the smaller Ranger booster. The only thing I don't like about this setup is the brakes are really touchy- you will get used to them, but if someone else drives truck they will put you thru windshield on 1st stop! I'll see if I can get some pics out of the thread. Good luck.

Ok look on the basket case build thread post # 39-42, 47-( bigger F150 booster which I didn't end up using), 58, 113 (this is a pic of smaller Ranger booster and master cylinder- but I ended up using smaller Ranger booster with F150 master. Hope this helps.... clear as mud....

Cool thanx. I'll look at it. I have a 1956 I'm working on for my son. I also have a 1953 my friend has in his storage yard and a 1952 F6 COE. All are gonna be sticks.

I plan on using a hydroboost from a 2003 Mustang GT. I have 2 of them. One for the 56 and one for the 53. The 56 will get a 5.0L from a 98 Mountaineer. I wonder if the master cly off the ranger would bolt up to the hydro boost? It will have explorer front brakes and 9" rear with drums.
