Suddenly, we're getting an Expedition

Congrats on the Expedition.
To me the Mobile 1, Purolator Pure One, Motorcraft Long Life are the best oil filters that I know of. The Mobile and Purolator Pure One use a polyglass medium that works better than the paper most filters use.
I would never use any Fram filter due to their poor quality. Therefore I tell you the same.
I worked in the lube oil maintenance and used oil analysis field for a few years. I learned that there are lots of myths that the public believes. Fram being good quality is one of the myths.
I bought a 2007 Navigator with 33,000 miles on it. I didn't know what kind of oil was used in it so I put Mobile 1 extended with a Mobile 1 extended filter in it. Now the Navigator has 80,000 miles and has no oil leaks.
I think you could use Motorcraft oil and filters and get lot miles with out any problems. Whatever oil & filters you choose keep in mind that it is very important to keep clean oil in these engines.

You can call the Expedition a truck. Unlike the old Explorers, which many (including me) called trucks even though they were not actually trucks, the Expedition is a legitimate truck.
Warped rotors are common on the Expedition. I have had zero issues with mine, but have seen a lot of posts regarding them on various forums. Could be the issue?
Definitely push for that spare key at no charge. With 2 keys you can easily program a 3rd, 4th, 5th, whatever right from your truck with no additional equipment. It does require 2 though to do that.
Also, the thing that's really got my goat, is I only got one key. Unfortunately I was ignorant of the MyKey thing and well, you probably guessed, I have a MyKey and no Admin key. I called the dealer first thing this morning after staying up late figuring out what was going on. He said he would call me right back and I haven't heard from him. When I asked the salesperson last night about getting a second key, she said that their "key guy" was only there on Fridays. Now this is one of the biggest Ford dealers in Texas, Leif Johnson Ford is Austin. They have several dealerships and the guy bragged that they sell more Fords in the state of Texas than anyone. But, they have to wait on the "key guy". I called my little local Ford dealer here in Brenham this morning and they said they could do it any time, make the Admin key and clear the MyKey -- $233. I'm still working on this.
I've heard that I can do this myself with Forescan. I have a spare laptop with Windows and I have a OBDII bluetooth adapter. My adapter is a BAFX and I'm not sure that it will work with Forescan. But the software is free so I might give it a try. I still want a second key though.

I took the Expedition to my local Ford dealer Friday and had them check it out for the brake pulsing. I went ahead and paid to have the front rotors turned -- $150. They were going to charge me $120 for the diagnostic anyway, so I just paid $150 total for the work. however, it didn't help the pulsing at all. So Saturday I went back to the dealer in Austin where I bought the truck. They fixed me up with a new Admin key and reset the MyKey, so that's all straight. They also did the rear brakes which fixed the pulsing. They didn't charge me anything at all and it only took about two hours. I was very happy with the service.
All is well with the truck now. I'm happy with it.
