New owner 2009 Expedition XLT SSV?

Hi and greetings from the older truck forums where I usually hang out.

I've just purchased a 2009 Expedition XLT. Purchased from the Canadian government and previously used by the military. I have a few questions about the trim level, specifically thinking this was some sort of fleet or police package vehicle. I ran across the term Special Services Vehicle, (SSV), although I have not seen any official Ford description of such a package. The big tip off is the rubber floormats, steel wheels, no 3rd row seating and a 16V 5.4 engine. All the descriptions of the XLT package would seem to indicate the Triton engine and alloy wheels.

Options as described are

Features
• Exterior colour: White
• Interior colour: Beige
• Gas
• Roof rack
• Michelin Latitude 265/70R17 tires
• 2 Different trailer wiring receptacles
• Rear window washer
• Rear climate control
• Split second row bench

Running Boards

I bought this truck on a bid and I have not yet got my hands near it, but one problem described were the rusted out running boards. I noticed these seem to be aftermarket, possibly of the Westin make?

I have not seen anything conclusive about these running boards, but the rest of the truck does seem to be in better condition. I was wondering if all Expeditions came with running boards? I saw a few pictures without, but nothing in a list of factory options that says they were optional.

I also will need some door and wheel well mouldings from the passenger side. Were these shared across the trim levels, or are they exclusive to the XLT?

Lastly, were the side mirrors and possibly dash pieces shared with the F series trucks?

Thanks for any help.

Well, I brought it home and it's time to fix up a few things.

Turns out I have to replace the front bumper skin. This truck will see some moderate off road use and I really don't think the front bumper will survive. So, I'm thinking aftermarket or fabbed replacement. Another option may be the stock pickup bumper, but there will be some differences with the body lines here. My fertile mind keeps picturing the with Raptor style front grill and bumper.

Anybody gone down this path, or have I lost my marbles?
