Oil Bath Air Cleaner (The saga continues)

Hi All,

I'm reaching out because I've had no luck getting ahold of the correct oil bath air cleaner for 1950 F1 V8. I've been keeping my eye on the web and ebay for months now with no luck. The only one I found the seller wanted $125 which I thought was crazy when all the other cleaners were $30-$45. Am I wrong???

I am a bit of a newbie here but this is what I have so far. My (V8) has a 94 Holley carb and the intake opening has a 2-3/8 inch diameter. I've attached pictures that I have collected through my research of the cleaner I believe I need. I would also love to know the model number of it because the one I found 226 I don't believe is correct. I also need the clamp with the ridge in the center to latch on to the carb.

So, I'm falling on the mercy of the forum for any leads as to where I can get a reasonably priced cleaner and clamp to get back out on the road.

Thanks!
Paul

A member shared this picture with me to show me what I needed. Thanks again!

I believe this is the same model I'm searching for just right side up.

Ford Trucks used carbs with a "wedge base" and a clamp on the air cleaner to match. Ford Cars used a smooth base, and won't work. The one in your second picture is for a Car.

I have a clamp that I have been hanging onto for 15 years. If you find an air cleaner and no clamp let me know.

OK so you have found one for $125? but you want one for $30? I guess when it is something that is tough to find and you have found it you need to pony up the funds and buy. This stuff is getting hard to find

That appears to be a correct unit.
$25 isnt a bad price.
Probably ad another 20 to 25 for shipping to Salt lake. If he is interested in shipping?

Thanks Paul, good to meet you as well and loved the truck. Neat family history behind it as well.
Keep up the reasearch and reading for the little bugs to be worked out.
If Roger or I can help with anything let us know.
