2013 F250 Lariat

I just picked up a 2013 f250 to replace my 2003 7.3litre

My question is: Can I put the 17" wheels and brand spanking new tires for those 17s on the 2013 which is rolling on 20s (I am not a fan of 20s)

If so, that would be super because I won't have to buy tires for quite sometime as the ones on the truck were pretty new

Thanks,
Ralph

You should be able to, you just will have to have tpms, or live with the light on the dash always being on.

What is TPMS? Is that the air pressure sensor?

Yup and you will to make sure that you get the correct aspect ratio on the new tires to not have to reprogram the computer.

Check the offset. I believe 99 to 2004 is different from 2005 to present

Essentially, the size. A tire of a different circumference will affect your speedometer accuracy.

I'm not too terribly concerned. The 315s I have are just a little taller than the ones on there now. But it's much better than dropping 2 grand on new tires.
I think my Bully Dog tuner can adjust for tire size. I know I could do it on the 03. Thanks for the help

Anyone have a line of a decent set of TPMS for the 2013 F250? Big O quoted me at $85 each..

what a scam these are. Will the truck run without them? I know my wifes car wouldn't run right

Truck will run fine w/o TPMS, you'll just have to live with TPMS light on constantly on the dash.

Rock auto had motorcraft TPMS sensors for about $38. Pretty sure most Tpms sensors are made by Schrader. I bought 5 new ones for my sister's Jeep and they looked identical to the stock ones, half the price, and made in USA.

On my 2016 I just picked up some 17" Alcoa wheels off a 2005 truck. Going to run 34" tires and decided it was not worth the $200 or so it would cost for new sensors. It will run fine, you just get a light on the dash.

The coil sprung super dutys have wider axles, and have wheels with more backspacing to keep the tires in the same place. If you put the wheels from your 13 on your 03 model they would be way sucked in. Now older wheels will fit fine in a newer truck, but will stick out.

I'm putting wheels I bought for the 03, on the 13
