Too much fuel?

in the process if regasketing my 302 from my 95 f150 I installed new injectors. I don't know much about them cuz my dad ordered them for me and sent them to my house. But it almost seems like it's getting too much fuel. At first it was out of time and not sparking in time so the cylinders were litterally filling with fuel. We had to pull the spark plugs and clear the cylinders 3 or 4 times. Now the engine is in time and we got it to run for a couple of seconds. It ran smooth then died out. Pulled the fuel pump relay out and turn the engine over a few times to clear the cylinders again just to be safe. Sprayed starting fluid in the intake to get it to want to fire again the plugged the relay back in. Cranked it over and did the same thing. Ran for a few seconds then died out. Come to the conclusion that the injectors are allow too much fuel through. Am I on the right track?

Sounds like one or more injectors are stuck open, this isn't uncommon with refurbished injectors and even more common with the newer slim injectors. Do they have a yellow body? If so they are at least the right flow rate, you can test them pretty easy with compressed air or even a can of carb cleaner, if the unit passes fluid or air without being powered its stuck open. The other possibility is there is an electrical short somewhere that is energizing the injectors and holding them open, did you remove or change any wiring while doing this work? Closely inspect everything to make sure there isn't a pinched wire somewhere.

they are the slimmer version and yes they are the yellow body. And I did take the wiring harness for the injectors off of the engine in the process.

On thing to try: next time you try to start it, hold the gas pedal all the way to the floor.. If it starts, and runs, you had a flooded engine and fuel fouled plugs
