Friends don't let friends use autolites in their Powerstrokes!

I got her all back together today, with Bosch gp's, Ford ones were 4 days delivery, and twice the price!

The thing is, I think I can still hear some of the knocking noise... Definitely not as bad, and not all the time. When it does happen, it is at idle. When I pulled the harness off to the injectors at the valve covers yesterday, it looked like there slight oil residue in there. Should they be dry? Or some dielectric grease maybe? All the injectors seemed tight when I checked the mounting bolts. You can't get at the top bolt very easy, so I left them, when I found how tight the bottom ones were.

Should I try some kind of injector cleaner? I run dyed diesel in it, but I don't think that does anything does it?

Where are you located?? I wasn't aware it was legal to run dyed diesel in any on-the-road trucks...

I'm plowing ice roads with it.. so it's legal.. not "on-the-road"...

But, let's stick to the engine questions, and not worry about making a criminal out of me!!

I have to say Bosch gp worry me. Its your truck but if it were me I'd be ordering ford/beru ones or diesel RX brand. Its your truck but just google search autolite issues...

Did you clean the FPR screen when you changed the filter? mine was clogged up with stuff.

I like the WOT in 3rd gear test for fuel pressure, if less than 40 you have an issue

I also bought this spring for the FPR as the old one was weak and bent with BB mod
Ford Powerstroke Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring 7.3 FPR F250 F350 95, 96 Diesel | eBay

This might be a stupid question, but are Bosch and Autolites the same thing? Or, has everybody agreed that it is ford gp's or nothing?

Well gentlemen, a quick follow up. In the end, I ended up taking the ol' girl in to the shop. Turned out that it was actually a broken flywheel. Crazy!! I've never heard of that before, broke all the way around the center bolts.

Anyways, just wanted to put some closure to this thread. Thanks again for all the feedback.
