I took my rear diff. to Randy's and had it changed from 3.92 to 3.73. Now it matches the speedo gear in the transmission.

What did you replaced and what did it cost?

And how do you like the 3.73 ratio?

I had it completely gone through. All new bearings and axles, new carrier, etc. They cleaned the housing and painted it. And a little bling. I believe it was about $1200+ tax. As I have none of the special tools or experience, I thought it would be best to leave this to the experts.

I've only driven it about 40 miles since the resurrection but I had enough acceleration and it would run highway speeds. (55-60 and probably more) I have the 226 and 4 sp. crashbox.
