Over Boost?

Over Boost?
Took my son and the boys up to Forestburg NY for their Winterburg camp out, truck ran great with a few hitches. I run SCT street tunes all the time except when towing, with that said I can bang out 21 MPG easy unloaded BEFORE the STC fitting went though the rear timing cover. Now I saw 19MPG and it was really had to get that(I really had to work to get it) I deleted the EGR,put new stand pipes and dummy plugs in. I also cleaned up all the mess under the hood along with changing the fuel filters and naturally the oil and filter. While I was in there I cleaned the turbo and put the IPR uppipe for the delete. Problem is now that it seems it boosts very easily,I've put it back to stock and it still boosts easy. Never ran across this and I'm curious what to look for for first before I pull the turbo. All my number are good. I'll go start it with the scanner on and check everything and post it up later as I have to go pick up the boys from camp.

What does the boost get up too now when you really get on it? I'll hit 20lbs no problem just getting up to speed but that's with 35" tires. Also what are reading your boost pressure on?

It will do 26.5, and that's on my live wire. It's never had a issue like this. It will boost 5-7 psi just giving it enough fuel to keep up speed on a mild highway grade. It also feels down on seat of the pants power. It just doesn't run like it did before I did the work. I got to spend some quality time with this before I get too crazy.

Sorry I took so long getting back to you guys,I found the problem and it needs a new turbo. Tons of play and it got a rebuild kit in it when it was apart for the STC fitting and oil cooler and the rest of the mods. I never mic'd the shaft so it was probably bad and I wasted a turbo rebuild kit but we shall see. In the mean time I found a guy that up graded to a Powermax and I bought his. He said it was in good working order and we shall see when it gets here.
