Just to confirm, if the previous owner disconnected the liftgate module, this would prevent the liftgate from functioning the door lock actuator?

As it is, the locking latch is just floppy and the liftgate doesnt close/lock. I can shut the liftgate but i dont need to pull the handle to open it.

I wont be able to get to it until this weekend so Im just anxious to know if anyone has had this experience.
