I'm having trouble resetting my oil life meter in my 16 F250. I think I'm doing exactly what the manual says but nothing is happening. I turn the ignition on and wait a second for the ford start up graphics to finish and then press the gas and brake at the same time as far as they will go. The manual says after 3 seconds I'll see a message saying the reset is in progress but I don't get any message on the screen. Am I doing something wrong?

 

that method wouldn't work on my 2016 xl either.on mine I hit setup twice then reset. If you have an info screen try going to maintenance.

 

I went to maintenance and the only option is for the coolant. There is no option for oil.

 

On my 2011 F350 6.2l, the oil reset is via the screen behind the steering wheel - scroll thru it using the left side menu buttons
