71 F100 alternator dilemma

Hi Guys and Gals, I recently purchased another motor for my 71 another 302. I noticed after taking out the original that the water pump on the original truck has the outlet on the drivers side and the donor motor had it on the left. No biggie I just ordered the matching pump for the radiator hose correct locations. Now my Dilemma is that the alternator brackets do not seem to work, either ones old motor and new donor. Also I noticed I am about a half a shiv (pulley) on the harmonic balancer off the fan pulley. It seems that this water pump is the culprit. Any ideas out there or are there any kits that will do either pump locations. And is there different size fan pulleys ???

Thanks,

The no biggie way of your fix looks to have been a long way around a easier radiator change.

May be re-gather your thoughts like retuning all the new parts an buy or have your radiator changed over would have been the way to go possibly huh. You know the old saying of KISS= keep it simple

Beware of your new water pump that it is not a serpentine belt pump.

I hear you guy's. Do they make a radiator that has the in and out on the passengers side that will fit. That would be the desired position if I return back to a passengers side outlet?

Thanks

I Thinks that's your search and find as we don't know who makes what.

Some i6 rad come in different outlets locations as, I found out.
Or have a rad shop move yours.

Edit ......PS......Look at 4wd rads

As Orich said, it may be easier, and cheaper to have a radiator repair shop move your inlet or outlet. Instead of buying a new radiator. It's Research time for sure!

Yup, if the radiator is good, my radiator guy charges ne $50-$60 to swap neck locations. In the world of mixing and matching when it comes to small block pulleys, the only way to remain sane is keep everything off one engine and not try to mix and match.
