Run/Acc Power points

2010 Ranger Sport w/ 4.0 L --I am trying to install an relay for an auxiliary battery. I need a source for a "hot when run or acc" power preferably in the engine compartment. Found a few wires but when I tapped into them, it caused problems with other systems (probably in the computer control of then).

The relay draws approx 1 A.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
