Which tow mirrors to get

+1 More for 1A Auto mirrors and not the cheap Ebay/Amazon ones. I went that way and regret the decision every time I look in my mirrors for any length of time (especially backing up my trailer). The glass is cheap and distorted, like looking in a funhouse mirror. Spend the extra money now and no regrets like me later.

1A Auto '08 folding heated ones...after the V/Modded B spring swap, best mod I've done (even better than the F650 dash).
A note on those who had mirror flex issues...some people complained that the 08s had 'wavy' mirrors...I found when you adjust them sometimes they do flex a bit (giving them the 'wavy' look). I discovered if you simply adjust 'too far' in one direction and then bring them 'back', the wave goes away. I read that one guy sent his back due to that and wondered if all he had to do was fiddle a little with the switch.
Yeah, they shouldn't flex at all, but considering the average Joe sets his mirrors and leaves them there, the adjust issue is minor considering the acres of blind spot the '08s give you.
Oh, and power fold, power fold, power fold. I lost track of how many times I've wondered if I'd have mirrors when I came back from a trip to the store (people parking close)...the power fold option is awesome.

Robert I Ross I never have tried that but I will though. I've gotten pretty used to them and chalk it up to a lesson learned through the process of building up my EX. This is the first place I skimped a bit on price before researching. Had I known of the complaints of glass quality on the Amazon ones I bought, I would have never bought them.

reply to your comment.
I am wanting to upgrade to some tow mirrors, but want opinions regarding the aftermarket '08 styles sold on eBay. Here are the options I see:
1. used (Craigslist most likely) stock Excursion/Superduty tow mirros
2. aftermarket '08 style mirrors with correct pigtail to fit my truck
3. OEM '08 style mirrors and do the wiring myself (I assume this is the most costly route)
Go with you opinions on these options!
Personally I would love OEM power folding and power telescoping, but I am not ready to dump $1000+ on mirrors.
Thanks,
Kevin
