Heater Core, No Heat, Heater Seal?

Hi all. OK, she's running really well, and I am working out small gremlins here and there. (Not Many) I do have a question though. I am not getting any heat. Every once in awhile I think I feel a little warmth... but never anything like what you would expect. I opened up my dash behind the Glove box and started the truck. The lines from the water pump & Engine both heat up well enough, the Core gets hot, and the Cable operates the Door as it should. The only thing I can think of is I have no seal in the Heater box. I remember taking it out when I was redoing my Dash (new cab etc..) and I noticed the original seal was in tatters so I took it out completely. I can feel the air moving all AROUND the core, but when I put my hand right behind the core itself I just feel a little bit of heat radiating off of it. I read somewhere that if you don't have the seal the air isn't forced through the Core...and you have no heat. Seems to be the issue, and seems to make sense. I was going to go to Walmart/LOWEs/Home Depot and get some one sided foam to make the seal, BUT does anyone know the thickness? And, does it need to be Heat resistant? It will come in contact with the Core at least in the front... Not sure if it will be Hot enough to melt regular foam. Does anyone know? Any info would be great, Thanks!

Whatever you get will need to be able to tolerate at least 200*F.
