Saginaw Power steering bracket need help identifying this part and engine?

Can anyone help me identify the engine/power steering pump bracket. The bracket is on a 78 Econoline but it looks different than others I have seen in the past. Looks like there may have been another part to complete the power steering bracket assembly/ Is the engine a 351?

The engine looks like a 302 or a 351?

I wonder what the ps bracket came from--I don't see any numbers on it?

Can anyone else chime in on the power steering bracket--clearly, it was not original to the engine,

My mothers 1978 e100 with a 351 looks nothing like that. I changed the bypass hose and remember it looked like yours with the air pump on top of the alternator. I wonder if someone swapped the engine?

Here is some more information that might help you out.
351W has a different firing order (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8) compared to the 289/302 (1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8). 82-and-later 302 HO engines use the 351W firing order.
The firing order should be stamped on the intake manifold near the distributor.

Another difference between the 302 and 351 that year would be the hight of the distributor lock down bolt. The 302 is almost even with the top of the block intake manifold seam while the 351W is around a inch below the lip on the block.

As to the power steering bracket, there is a bolt missing on yours for the lower adjustment slot..
Numberdummy is a good person to contact about this. Below is a post from him on a thread talking about “”“trucks”“”...

Exert:
1978/79 is not the same!

1978: Ford changed the P/S pumps on all cars/trucks except Econolines.

The 1978 and later pump has a plastic reservoir and dipstick, the pump body is a different shape.

The P/S pressure hoses are also different.

What this means is...the P/S brackets used from 1969 thru 1977 may not fit the later pump.

1973/77 F100 302 & 1975/77 F150 302: The adjusting bracket is the same 1973/79. The support bracket fits 1973/77 only. 1978/79 is different.

The 1978 and later P/S pressure hoses will not fit the earlier pump, which has a steel reservoir and dipstick.

Pic shows TWO individual brackets that have been bolted together. The pictured inner is a 3A732 P/S pump adjusting bracket, bolts to the pump.

The pictured outer is a 3C511 P/S pump mounting bracket, bolts to the adjusting bracket and to the engine block.

1975/97 Econolines were available with the 300 I-6, 351W & 460. The 302 wasn't available until 1979 and then only in E100/150.

ALL 1975/97 Econolines use the Saginaw P/S pump, so...the post #8 F100/350 & Bronco Ford/Thompson & C-II P/S pump info does not apply.

They certainly don't look like other 351 W brackets that I have seen.
