2000 F350 SD 7.3 Inector o-rings

Post a question to forum, I do all the mechanical repair on 00 SD that is used as a transport truck. It hauls enclosed trailer on a fifth wheel trailer. This vehicle is loaded to 25 to 30k every time it leaves the yard so earns its keep.

This past summer around June I had to replace the injector o-rings to repair a hot no start. It has been running great, but the truck was returning from dropping a load and started running badly. The cause was due to the engine being 3 gallons low on oil, it has been using oil but not consistently. Oil was added and the truck made the 180 mile trip back to the yard.

Time for another set of o-rings. Injectors were removed and 3 of them had the pink o-ring that separates the HP oil from the fuel portion of the injector showing what looks like to be heat damage, I will attempt to attach photos of the damaged o-rings. Also the engine is using a Hypertech Programmer set on the 2 power level.

So if anybody has investigated the cause of this type of damage would appreciate any info.
